A big thank you to all at Shoobridge for the care, compassion and kindness shown to us whilst arranging dad's funeral. Carolyn's attention to detail, personal service and thoughtful suggestions meant the funeral exactly suited our family and was indeed a celebration of life.

From the moment Paul, and subsequently Carolyn made contact with us we were confident that they would direct us through the difficult time of organising our mum’s funeral with professionalism and compassion. They were very clear in explaining everything we needed to know, genuinely concerned about the emotions we were experiencing and always contactable at any time of night or day should we need them. They also made us feel as though we were the only people they were dealing with in their open, honest and genuine manner. I would not hesitate in recommending their services to anyone… although I don’t think they need me to say that as the entire company, being initially a family run business stands on its own worth. Thank you Paul and Carolyn for making a very sad and difficult time, more bearable.

Thank you very much to Penny and her colleagues for going above and beyond for their caring and professional attention which they showed my husband Tony they organised everything and Penny kept in touch throughout keeping me informed on everything.

Today the people at Shoobridge took care of the cremation of my partners daughter Louise. I have to say they did a fantastic job and Penny in particular has gone over and above in her chats with Heather and the support Penny has shown for the family has been fantastic. Almost 6 years ago, Penny took care of my son's funeral. Today, 2/10/2020, Penny took care of my daughter's funeral. I have received nothing but respect, compassion and professionalism, on both ocassions, Penny and her staff have gone above and beyond. Thank you each and every one of you.

I can’t speak highly enough of Shoobridge Funeral Services. They are professional, meticulous and conscientious with a strong moral code and work ethic. But, on top of this, what sets them apart from other funeral directors is the gentle way they interact with family and mourners; they are pastoral and kind. And that is ultimately what you want at that time – someone to be kind to you and give you a feeling of safety. Paul and Penny made me feel like a friend. A vast amount will be going on behind the scenes to ensure everything is right, and yet they make it look effortless as they are always calm, with everything in hand. They also make themselves available at all times of the day and night and are happy to chat late into the evening if that is convenient for the family. What many people, I think, do not realise is that not all funeral directors are the same and they don’t ‘shop around’ in the way they would when buying a new car or choosing an estate agent, probably because, emotionally, they do not have the energy at a difficult time. People will choose a certain company because they have clocked it each day on their way to work or maybe it is at the end of their road. But, in reality, there is very much a sliding scale and there can be a gulf-wide gap between one funeral director and another. Shoobridge Funeral Services is at the top of the scale.

I really can't recommend Shoobridge Funeral Services enough. When my mum passed away, I really didn't have a clue what to do next, the phone call I made to Shoobridge really put my mind at ease. Shoobridge were amazing from our initial enquiry through to the funeral service and after. Michaela who dealt with us was empathic and very supportive of our very personal wishes for our dad’s woodland burial.
